Is fake news a serious problem in out contemporary world? Why? Why not?

I think that fake news are great problem. Most people are watching, listening or reading news on which they base their knowledge and opinions. Fake news make them build their views on lie. Very often people who make fake news want to convince others to their opinion. Maybe most of adults could recognise which news are true or not but children and teens are more susceptible for sush things. We should be carefoul for what we are watching.
To avoid speading fake news it's always important to:
1) look for a reliable source
2) double check the information
3) stop sharing links to unchecked information
Fake news are very dangerous. Theu can make people hate other people.
They say "gosip can kill"- fake news is worst than gosip and it spreads much faster, they contagion the world.
