Are Polish people polite and kind (compared to other Europeans)?

Well, I know one French person, I met mabey 15 Greeks and 4 Spaniards I met on holyday, but I was a child so I don't remember their politness and I didn't understand much of what they were saying. I don't belive thet generalization basedon a nation is a right thing to do. It all depends on a social group where someone is raised.
 So I can't answer the question - are Poles are more polite than other Europeans because I don't have data to based on. I know many Poles, some are very kind and polite, others are rude and vulgar. Should I base my judgement on films, books, news?
Are men better chefs? Womens worst drivers? A froamericans more violent than white people?
I wouldn't feel comfortable spreeding another stereotype.
