Famous novelist accused of child abused!

This whole story started with a mean gossip I heard from my friend Anna. 

She showed me a video with popular fantasy novelist Aneta J. who was sitting on park bench and did nothing while another woman (she looked as Aneta daughters’ au-pair) was hitting small girl (possibly Aneta’s daughter) so badly that the child was covered with blood and seemed to be in agony.

I was biased because Aneta is my favorite writer and I couldn't believe that she would not react to child’s misery, supposedly her own daughter being abused and suffer. It all looked to me as a fake  story fabricated to discredit the writer. I wanted to support Aneta in this tough time and find the truth. I doubted that the video was real because it came from an unreliable source, was of poor quality and was too short to see details. My conscience did not allow me to leave it like this and I decided to prove Aneta being either innocent or a hypocrite. 

First I looked for information in reliable sources but I didn't find anything. I decided to contact people who knew Aneta and ask if they could confirm story being probable. Some of them said it is doubtful and they do not believe it’s her on the film, but they didn’t want to confirm this officially. I couldn’t resist the thought they were prejudiced.

So I took an extra time to visit the town where the writer lived and where video was taken. I asked the neighbors if then could honestly confirm it was her on the film. They were surprised and said she moved away 2 years prior but a week earlier they saw a group of young people filming something in the park nearby. They were dressed up and wearing wigs. When I showed the video one woman couldn’t resist laugh – of course it wasn’t Aneta J !   

After I told the story of the investigation to my best mate, she encouraged me to report this to the police as fabricating fake news to discredit someone is illegal and authorities need to ban and prohibit it. 

I believe we should always check if the sources of news and stories we hear are credible, we should be responsible for making the world more honest and reliable. It’s far more mature to resist temptation of spreading the fake news. We can improve our world by being engaged .
